After arriving in Tashkent on an overnight bus from Bishkek with no accommodation booked, we spent two days exploring Uzbekistan’s surprisingly modern capital. From beautiful metro stations and Soviet architecture to local food, mosques, and wandering the city with kids, here are our first impressions of vibrant Tashkent.
